The Greenwich Village Chelsea Chamber of Commerce is a NP organization dedicated to aiding local businesses in the Greenwich Village, Chelsea, SoHo, NoHo, Union Square, Flatiron, East and West Village area of Manhattan. The Chamber supports these local businesses by offering marketing/promotional campaigns, networking opportunities, business and education seminars.

During the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic (in NYC), the Chamber wanted to assist its local businesses that were suffering from prolonged closure. To do this the GVCCC planned to: relay daily info from NYC officials, promote any re-opening businesses, and educate local businesses on how to handle the situation through webinars/online events.

In order to achieve each goal, the Chamber created: A COVID-19 Reopening Doc for businesses to look at in order to understand the situation, the re-opening phases NY will go through, what to do to prepare for re-open, and how to stay safe during the Pandemic, daily SMS content relaying what info government officials are sharing, and event flyers for the webinars and online events hosted by the GVCCC. In addition to this, the GVCCC also underwent a re-branding to help build a consistent aesthetic/feel.

The COVID-19 Re-opening Doc was a 36 page document distributed to fellow members and businesses of the Chamber in order to gather all the important info needed for them to survive during the Pandemic.

Daily content about various topics such as info about COVID, re-opening businesses, government policies/programs, etc… was posted on the GVCCC’s SMS accounts.

Webinar/event flyers for GVCCC-hosted online events aimed at educating local businesses about how to navigate themselves through the Pandemic and providing networking opportunities.
